What a great morning at Camp Jenny! This morning our youngest unit, the Juniors, were surprised by the White County Fire Department. WOW, what a surprise! Several firefighters pulled up to the Camp Jenny dining hall with not one, not two, but three of their fire trucks. The campers were ecstatic and jumping with joy. The Juniors listened to the firefighters speak about safety and learned what to do in the case of an emergency. The firefighters put on their gear and demonstrated how they breathe with their mask and tank. The campers were able to touch the equipment and feel what it’s like to be a firefighter. The firemen and women were so welcoming and let the campers play with the sirens and sit in the seats of the trucks. The Camp Jenny Juniors Unit learned that Firefighters are there to keep them safe! Thank you to the White County Fire Department for this amazing opportunity.
Meanwhile, the Pios boys spent time cooking ‘Green Eggs & Ham’ today! They used green food coloring to make their creations come to life. The campers cracked their green eggs and scrambled them on a frying pan. Then they glazed ham with green water and cooked everything until it was crispy! The campers thought the food was delicious and can’t wait for more fun!
