Get to know the crew working behind the scenes to bring "Lights, Camera, Camp Jenny" to life!

Meet Josh, the NFTY-STR Co-Director! - "I am so excited to share this year’s Camp Jenny with you all. My journey began in 2023, where I was an SIT (Staff-in-training) with Riley. That year taught me all about the influence of Camp Jenny and what role I wanted to play in years to come. In 2024, I was a Music Specialist in Creative Arts. It was then that I realized how special Camp Jenny truly is to me. I didn’t just get to play a part in creating magic for our campers; I formed unforgettable friendships and memories while still making an impact. In 2025, I became the Head Specialist of Creative Arts. I was so grateful to return in a greater capacity of planning for Camp Jenny. The feeling of watching a program I created come to life was like no other! Now, I am extremely humbled to take on the role of Co-Director for 2026. In the months to come, Riley, Sarah, and I will be working with all of you and cannot wait. We appreciate the effort that you all are putting into your applications; with you, we can build an amazing crew. Let’s make this year’s Camp Jenny the best one yet!"

Meet Riley, the NFTY-SAR Co-Director! - "I can’t wait to spend Camp Jenny 2026 with you all! My journey began a little before my freshman year of high school. In 2022, I attended my first Camp Jenny with my sister as an extra set of hands. However it was this year that I fell in love with Camp Jenny. For the short amount of time I was there, I saw the work that went into creating this magical weekend, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I returned the following year as an SIT, which only grew my love for Camp Jenny. Through initial training and small interactions with the campers, I got just a taste of what being a staff member would be. I was beyond excited to finally have a staff position. In 2024 I was a Senior Counselor for the most amazing cabin of Junior girls. I had the best weekend laughing with them, indulging in silly arts and crafts, and initiating our nightly dance parties in the cabin before flashlight time. Most recently, I returned to Camp Jenny 2025 as a Tweens Unit Head. Not only did I get to spend my time with my campers from the previous year, but I was able to now plan engaging activities for an entire unit. I loved being in this position and getting the opportunity to connect with so many more campers. And now, in my position of Co-Director, my love for Camp Jenny has only flourished. With every zoom call, every Instagram post, and every task crossed off our to-do list, I am only growing more excited for Camp Jenny 2026. We’ve been working so hard already and cannot wait to meet our amazing staff for this upcoming year. We can’t do this without you!"

Meet Sarah, the Camp Jenny Program Manager! - "My journey with Camp Jenny began in 2020… online! At the time, I was a synagogue professional excited to attend my first Camp Jenny with my JTY teens. Then, of course, the world shifted, and Camp Jenny moved to a virtual format. What could have felt disappointing instead became inspiring. I watched an entire community come together with creativity, compassion, and heart to build lifelong memories for our campers.
I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of the team that brought virtual Camp Jenny to life in both 2020 and 2021. As the years went on, my role with Camp Jenny continued to grow as I found myself working full time with Camp Coleman and taking on CJ as a part of my portfolio.
Now, in my fourth year working in this role, I feel so lucky to support our teen co-directors as they bring their vision to life. Each year I’m amazed by the partnership they build, the leadership they show, and the immense dedication they pour into creating magic for our campers and staff.
Working with youth and teens is truly my passion, and I feel honored to walk alongside them every day through my work with Camp Jenny, NFTY, and Camp Coleman."
